Lama Tsongkhapa

Rinpoche said I could have anything I wanted from the gift room, so I picked yesterday’s thangka and this Lama Tsongkhapa. Why? Because he is the founder of our lineage, and the thangka because to prostrate to it would be to prostrate to the whole lineage in one go…I’m just greedy like that!

Guru Tree

Rinpoche said I was off to begin my second year of university and I could pick anything I wanted from the Ladrang gift room…that’s like sticking a kid in a candy shop. One of the two items I picked was this, a full thangka of the Gelug tree with the Dalai Lama’s signature on it! […]

Two shirts

It’s just two shirts, what’s there to be grateful about, I hear you ask. I was in Bangkok for work and not in a good place mentally because my lama was compassionately manifesting unhappiness with my attitude. After some contemplation, I made a commitment to myself to bounce back. A few days later, Rinpoche arranged […]

HH Trijang Rinpoche

Rinpoche was in the gift room getting gifts together for various people. Rinpoche teased us and asked if any of us would like this statue of HH Trijang Dorjechang. I immediately said yes…and Rinpoche looked at me and said I can have it because I love our lineage lamas so much o_O I’m still gobsmacked […]

A nutritious meal

Nothing like a good hearty lentil soup, thanks to Rinpoche who sponsored RM6500 worth of groceries for us!

A crazy 72 hours!

Without Rinpoche, I never would’ve had the experiences I had in the last 72 hours…I went from a dog rescue to a party, to launching a haze rescue team! My Crazy 72 Hours: Rescuing Sonam (Part 1) My Crazy 72 Hours: Tiffany’s relaunch (Part 2) My Crazy 72 Hours: Beat the haze with Kechara! (Part […]

The gift of graduation

Without Rinpoche, I never would’ve graduated from the University of Warwick in 2008. My family were having severe financial difficulties back then, making it nearly impossible for me to pay my Band 1 fees every term. This went on for eight terms, starting in the second term of my first year. At one point, I […]

Manjushri magic

In 2008, Rinpoche brought a group of 61 pilgrims to Gaden, to offer a set of robes and a Manjushri statue to each of the 3000 monks there…and I got one of them!

Through Rinpoche kindness, I am allowed to wake up to this view everyday 🙂
