Day 41: The gift of gratitude

Look at this guy sleeping in the middle of a construction site. In the dust and dirt, hundreds of miles away from his ‪family‬, just another faceless ‪foreign‬ worker to you and me. On top of that, it’s now ‪Ramadhan‬ and he’s having to do laborious, physically demanding ‎construction‬ work whilst fasting‬, just to earn a living for his loved ones. And how about you? Tired? Hungry? Can’t wait to pig out when you break fast? Think about this guy, and think about what you have to be grateful for today. Today I’m grateful that Rinpoche teaches me everyday how to be ‪grateful‬, and how to appreciate this precious human life of mine.
