There’s just SO much good stuff on the Internet, I don’t know where to begin and how to share it all! So every Sunday, I will do a round-up of stuff that caught my attention over the week and since I’m such a fan of alliterations, naturally this series has to be called “Sunday Selections”…let’s […]

Vajrayogini texts

Rinpoche gave me the privilege of compiling texts for a ‎Vajrayogini ‎retreat for future use. Me, a nobody from ‎Kuala Lumpur, gets to compile these texts for people to use to gain ‎attainments…free merits for meeeee!

Impermanence definitely exists

Oh lordie me, where to start? Rinpoche gave an amazing teaching today about self-limitations and I had loads of thoughts after Rinpoche concluded. Rinpoche started by talking about procrastination and how we always delay things, and how Malaysians move so slowly and get things done tomorrow…I mean, why do something today if it can be […]

Birkies

Rinpoche was recently in HK (visit http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/ to hear more about the trip). In between Rinpoche’s non-stop meetings, Rinpoche still found a gift for stupid me, and got me this pair of Birkies…and of course, they fit perfectly! Thank you Rinpoche!

Kensur Rinpoche and the opportunity to paint

Mad puja skillz

Rinpoche often has us conduct our own pujas to bless our land. Rinpoche says as long as we have good samaya and we follow the pujas as per the scriptures, why can’t we conduct our own blessings? We are just as capable of these pujas as our monastic friends are.

No but yeah no but yeah

A fun gift from Rinpoche – “no but yeah but no but yeah”…a talking Vicky doll, always ready to provide me with a good chuckle (and a reminder of why chavs bother me!)

034

I’m completely, utterly and totally addicted to Buzzfeed which, along with Upworthy, make up my bedtime reading in the half an hour before I actually fall asleep. I like the fact both websites feature feel-good, positive news because it makes a very nice change from the doom and gloom that appears on other websites…it helps […]

celibacyexam

A friend asked me today why celibacy is so important to Buddhist monks. It’s not the first time I’ve been asked this question, but it is the first time I’ve been able to spend some time on my response. I was quite (but not totally) happy with my answer; if the rest of my email […]

Time

This is Rinpoche‘s level of care – we were moving into our new house, and Rinpoche wanted to make sure we had everything we needed, including clocks and batteries for the clocks!
